Overview
Atlas & Vale is an architecture practice known for buildings that blur the line between interior and landscape. Their portfolio needed to do justice to large-format photography and convey a sense of moving through space. We designed a slow, editorial experience: full-bleed imagery, generous whitespace, and scroll-driven reveals that echo the pacing of walking through one of their buildings.
The Challenge
Architecture photography is heavy, and image-rich sites often sacrifice performance. We needed a site that felt immersive and cinematic without becoming slow or inaccessible on the connections clients actually use.
The Outcome
The site loads in under two seconds despite its imagery, thanks to a modern image pipeline and careful art direction. Atlas & Vale reported a 60% increase in qualified project inquiries within three months of launch.
