Overview
Auxillia Youth Services CIC is a Community Interest Company creating safe, vibrant spaces for young people across South Tyneside — youth clubs, outdoor activities, social action and projects like Under-8s boxing and scooter recycling. We designed and built their website as a headless WordPress + Next.js app: a playful, gradient-driven design system with per-programme brand colours, a live 'what's on' schedule, team profiles and impact stories. Content is edited in WordPress and appears near-instantly via on-demand revalidation, with secure draft previews for the team.
The Challenge
A youth organisation needs a website as warm and energetic as its sessions — while volunteers need to update events, projects and stories without touching code. The site also had to be fast, accessible and safeguarding-conscious, presenting real photography and real young people's stories responsibly.
The Outcome
The result is a site that feels alive — eight server-rendered homepage sections pulling live content, programme and project detail pages, and a design system the team can grow. Edits in WordPress go live in seconds, keeping the site as current as the young people it serves.
