Overview
GroupGood is a community website platform born in South Tyneside and built for community organisations everywhere. Local charities, clubs, community groups and SMEs can launch a hosted website with events, ticket payments, donations and supporter capture — all in one simple platform, no technical skills required. We designed and built the whole product: the multi-tenant architecture that gives every organisation its own site and custom domain, the events and RSVP system, the donation flow, and a guided launch that takes a group from enquiry to live site.
The Challenge
Local groups are doing serious work with messy tools — outdated websites, event details scattered across social media, donation friction, no simple supporter list, and volunteer overload. The challenge was distilling a website, events and payments into one platform simple enough for a non-technical volunteer to run, yet powerful enough to replace a patchwork of paid tools.
The Outcome
Groups now go from enquiry to live site through a guided launch — we prepare the site, connect payments, preview and test, then launch. Pilot places are open, and the platform is already trusted by organisations across Hebburn, Jarrow and South Tyneside, including Hebburn Local Help.
